Professor Meirion Thomas, Surgical Oncologist
Professor J Meirion Thomas is a Consultant Surgeon at The Royal Marsden Hospital and holds a Personal Chair in Surgical Oncology at Imperial College London.
He has extensive experience as a General Cancer Surgeon but in recent years has focused his attention on soft tissue sarcoma and malignant melanoma with a cameo interest in salivary gland tumours.
Professor Thomas has a track record in research and development, and has emerged as a prominent advocate in caution in the practice of sentinel node biopsy in melanoma.
Our mission is to provide patients newly diagnosed with melanoma basic but essential information which will help them, their family and friends, understand the disease, its treatment and prognosis.
