Chelsea Outpatient Centre is a modern, contemporary private diagnostic and treatment facility based at 280 Kings Road in the heart of Chelsea. It has been developed by The Lister Hospital and aims to provide quick and convenient access to world-class medical experts in the comfortable and familiar surroundings of this vibrant London street.

Skin conditions
As well as a team of consultant dermatologists, Professor J Meirion Thomas of The Royal Marsden Hospital’s Academic Surgical Unit has recently opened the doors to his Minor Surgery Clinic. He aims to offer rapid and hassle-free access to anybody concerned about a suspicious skin lesion, without the usual referral chains which can delay consultation with an expert.

Faster diagnosis of melanoma, faster treatment

It has been demonstrated extensively through years of research into the management of malignant melanoma, the most serious of the skin cancers – that rapid surgical treatment reduces the rate of spread (metastasis). Those melanomas which are caught early and excised before they grow deep into the skin or spread to lymph nodes offer a better prognosis to patients. These values are fundamental to the new clinic.

Consultations

The Surgical Skin clinic currently runs on Mondays (10am – 3pm) and Wednesdays (9am – 1230pm) in The Chelsea Outpatient Centre, 280 King’s Road, SW3 5AW.
